Naomi Dreams, much like her Togolaise history, is rich with a range of interests, talents, and tales of adventure and beauty. Naomi Dreams promotes her fashion using herself as the primary model- yet does not arrogantly see herself as the sole focal point or archetype for beauty in the fashion world- she remains humble and embraces women of all sizes and shades recognized as beautiful. She embraces her own atypical attributes and characteristics that make her a non-traditional model in some lines of the fashion industry. Other endeavors she has found pleasing and thus added to her portfolio are arranging, marketing, and distributing mixtapes. Many people are unaware of the diversity in Naomi’s very own Togolaise music. Togolaise music includes singers such as Bella Bellow and Jimi Hope; the genre of percussion-driven folk music sung in the Ewe and Kabye languages, accompanied by the tchebe stilt dancers; and the world-renowned sounds of West African Jazz. With Togolaise music in mind, Naomi danced many nights to German techno, industrial , and synthpop (made famous by groups such as Kraftwerk); and later while living in Texas, Naomi took a liking to the gritty, earthy, urban-centered sounds of hip hop. This mix and match of different styles and perspectives of music shaped Naomi Dreams’ lovely and careful ears for rhythm, tempo, and lyrical content. She has completed a number of mix cds and plans to add many more to her roster of musical ventures in the realms of Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, Techo and Euro Rock.
